Forensic Mental Health Association of California PGA Champions Tour Fundraiser |
|
Dear FMHAC Members,
FMHAC has been given a great opportunity to fundraise through the PGA Champions Tour and I'm hoping for your help!
The final tournament of the tour, where one player will receive the Charles Schwab Champions Cup, is being held in Sonoma from October 26-November 1st and we've been chosen as one of the lucky non-profits to sell tickets! We keep 75% of the ticket sales - the remaining 25% goes to their expenses and any proceeds after that are donated to a handful of charities. My goal of 100 tickets will give FMHAC around $3000, which we desperately need this year.
The ways you can help include: 1. Attend the event! The tickets are very affordable, it will be a fun event, and I'll be there! Order your tickets by calling me at 415-407-1344 or emailing me at director@fmhac.net. 2. Send this opportunity to anyone you think might be interested in attending or buying a set of tickets for clients or employees. You could send it to friends, family, or co-workers. If you think there is someone in your organization who would want to purchase for a larger group, please let me know or have them contact me for more information.
Below is more information on the tournament and buying tickets.
Please let me know if you have any questions and thank you for helping me reach my goal of 100 tickets! You can check our website in the coming weeks to see how the sales are going.
Thank you everyone!
Sincerely,
Molly Willenbring Forensic Mental Health Association of CA

| About FMHAC
Homelessness, substance addiction, and mental illness are not in themselves criminal justice problems; they are health and economic problems. Because of inadequate treatment and other resources, many of these individuals who are homeless, who have mental illness or an addiction wind up in the criminal justice system, incarcerated in our jails and prisons. Law enforcement officers, courts, and mental health professionals are required to work with these individuals in settings that are challenging, while keeping community safety in mind. These professionals need an organization that provides education in this specialized field, supports best practice in clinical treatment and reviews current relevant legislation keeping its members informed.
The Forensic Mental Health Association of California (FMHAC) provides this service, FMHAC advocates for the best clinical treatment of this population and provides support and education to those working in the forensic mental health field. With a more than 30 year history, FMHAC is the best organization in California to address the training needs of clinicians and, with just one dedicated employee and many volunteers, it can devote its resources to its mission: providing high quality education at a low cost.
Your support makes a huge difference to a small non-profit and has an even bigger impact on your community. We are able to review legislation and make clinical recommendations, help shape the still evolving forensic mental health structure, educate clinicians on best treatment practices and successful programs, and, ultimately, help acutely sick people become healthier and lead more productive lives.
